Nick Russell made the most of the benign morning conditions to fire a scintillating nine under par 62 for a four shot victory over Ryan Woodward. Nick's round equals the course record set, by Roger Davis in 2006 in the 1st Round of the Qld Senior Open.
“We could not of asked for better scoring conditions this morning and it was nice that I could take full advantage of the conditions,” said Russell. “It is great to see the Nudgee Pro Am once again on the Queensland Sunshine, especially in year where it has been so difficult to keep tournaments on the schedule. They always run a great event at Nudgee and it’s nice to add my name to the honour role of Pro Am winners.”
