The "Challenge" has been set!

This Thursday 26th September is our first Yoga session specifically designed for the golfer.  Nudgee Golf Club General Manager Aaron Muirhead has set a challenge for the lady members, have 15 ladies attend the class and he will join in (suitably attired).

The class is open to men and ladies, please BYO mat, the first session is FREE and is run by a professional instructor.

Carina Leagues Club Charity Golf Day

In support of the Prostate Cancer Foundation.  Carina Leagues Club have put together 124 players from the club industry to enjoy a light breakfast, a round of golf, roast buffet lunch and a super raffle prize draw with some fantastic prizes on offer.  Even AVS Lime Technologies joined in and are popping some popcorn on the 1st tee to help keep the players nourished.

Bitumen bunker trial

We are trialling a bitumen based bunker on the left hand side of the 1st hole on the South course. The consistency of the bitumen used has been altered from normal bitumen to allow water to flow freely through into the drainage system below. The bitumen should also reduce any contamination of the sand and also reduce the movement of sand, resulting in the sand becoming powder over time. If the trial is deemed successful, the club may adopt this process across all bunkers as required. See photo's below of the construction process.

Yoga at Nudgee Golf Club

We can confirm that Yoga Classes designed to help golfers will be trialled at the club commencing next Thursday, 26th Sept from 12:15 pm - 45 min in duration.

Both ladies and men are welcome to attend this FREE yoga session. If possible, please bring a Yoga mat or a towel (mats can be purchased at Kmart, Big W or any sport store), but we should have a few spare to cover anyone that forgets.

As an introductory session it will be free of charge. Then the charge will be $10 per class and the duration will always be the 45 min – 1 hour.
